The Coogee Bay Community centre is sited on the Coogee Oval and next to the precious Coogee beach. For such a precious site for the Coogee community, the coherence of a revolution of pitch roof was selected. The design has considered about gestures and urban forces with straight and inclined lines, bringing a new geometry with a careful balance giving a lot of public areas. People are happy to get into the environment with the association of outdoor and indoor spaces, as to bring a Coogee’s local memory and experience to everybody.
Precedents and cases are carefully selected in a range of contemporary solutions on shape, lighting and spatial planning. Including pitched roof which dominates the impression of the project.
